CDC?s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, Small Grants in Occupational Safety and Health Research. The announcement will be open for applications until November 23, 2006. Non-profit and for profit organizations, universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories, state and local governments, agencies of the federal government, faith-based organizations, Indian tribes, Tribal governments, Tribal colleges, and Tribal organizations are all eligible to apply. The purpose of the program is develop knowledge that can be used in preventing occupational diseases and injuries, and to better understand their underlying pathophysiology. This program will support small research projects that can be carried out in a short period of time with limited resources. The award may not be used for thesis, dissertation, or postdoctoral research.
